Looking ahead in the series the narration team recycles through the earlier readers, who have obviously "got into" the story and enjoyed reading it.
It is a shame that this narrator hasn't listened to the previous volumes as some very good character personality traits have been developed by previous narrators. Hopefully it will not take too long to get used to the new character name. While this is surely a minor point, it detracts quite a bit from the fluency of the series. Although this has been a little annoying between books, in this book the pronunciation of one of the lead characters, Kay-lan, has changed to Car-lan. I have been listening to The Sword of Truth series from the beginning and the overall thread of the story is great, but each book has a different narrator. OK, just downloaded this title and am a bit bemused. Good luck people tolerating this title and the next one. They usually pronounce the names right, but come on Dick, next time.do alittle research before hand and avoid these negative reviews, that is, if you even care. I understand he reads Book 5 too.YAY!!!! Switching from one narrator to another in a long series is something that I am used to. Do you think the narrators even care what we have to say? Probably not. I doubt the narrator even listened to ANY previous copies of the books, so as to keep continuity to the story.I've been listening for 10 minutes,confused as to who Kara was talking to and had to stop to read the reviews, something I hardly do, as not to have my impression of the book tainted by positive or negative reviews.
Obviously, this was never editted by audible, or they would know that Terry Goodkind had intended that the name be pronounced correctly.(KAY-LIN). Troy, you are right.In the beginning, Im wondering who the heck is Colin? Some new character? Someone we have never met? No, just a real bad reader. Wow, this narrator really ruined this book
